Din Jurist – Founding Partner and Marketing Lead

  • Company:Din Jurist

In January 2017, I co-founded Din Jurist (Your Lawyer), a law firm dedicated to providing legal assistance in social security law, with a focus on helping individuals who found themselves caught up in complex bureaucratic systems. Alongside two experienced lawyers handling the legal work, my role centered on laying the foundation for the firm’s outreach and digital presence.

Championing Legal Aid for the Vulnerable

Din Jurist was born from the idea that everyone deserves access to justice, especially those with limited resources. Our clients were often individuals facing challenges with Denmark’s social security system, struggling to secure the benefits they were entitled to. By offering expert legal guidance, we provided a lifeline to people who felt powerless against an overwhelming bureaucracy.

An Exciting Experiment in Online Client Acquisition

At its core, Din Jurist was an ambitious test of how to reach clients efficiently through online forms and digital platforms. We developed streamlined systems that allowed potential clients to engage with the firm via user-friendly online forms, making it easier for them to seek legal assistance without the usual hassle.  This approach not only made the process smoother for our clients but also allowed us to capture and engage a broader audience—people who might not have otherwise reached out for legal help. After a coupe of years of exciting growth and experimentation, I was bought out of Din Jurist in January 2019(or earlier, cant’r remember), as the partners transitioned to successful new ventures in Copenhagen.

One of the more unique moments at Din Jurist came when I got to put my IT skills to use in a legal setting. I think it was during pre-trial, I was asked by the firm to explain the ins and outs of torrent clusters—yes, the tech behind peer-to-peer file sharing! It was my job to break down this complex digital concept into something the not so technical lawyers could easily digest, helping everyone understand how files are split and shared across multiple sources. Definitely not your average day at the office!
